Q150 Club Update

The first thing to say is that we must thank all the members of the 150 club for their
continued support over the previous years. It goes without saying, that without their help,
many projects which we help to fund for the benefit of the club would be unable to go
ahead. This has been particularly true in the last very troubled year.

Since I took over the running of the 150 club in 2016 we have been able to fund the
purchase of 2 new cookers for Cath and her team which has enabled her to maintain the
very high standard of catering, to which we have become accustomed. We also paid for the
LED lighting which was installed to the downstairs and outside of the club. Hopefully this has
reduced both the energy used and the cost to the club for lighting.

During the season 2017-18, we were able to fund the refurbishment of the boiler within our
clubhouse which has helped to ensure the regulation of heating throughout the years. We
also provided for a custom made pool table to be added to the club`s facilities in an effort to
generate further income.

Further afield we provided new garden furniture at Abergwili, which added to the
improvement of facilities seen there over the last number of years. When the improvements
were made to the velodrome, we were also able to help to provide benches to ensure that
the 1 st XV photo could go ahead untroubled.

Perhaps our most important recent contributions came over the last couple of years when
we were able to help fund the refurbishment of the changing room and gym facilities at
Abergwili. This helped to ensure we had the additional space required to cope with the
increasing number of teams which our club now runs. It also improved the training facilities
and will hopefully enable our teams to remain competitive as the game emerges from its
current enforced hibernation.

It goes without saying that we can only help with these various projects with the continued
support of our members. Therefore we are constantly on the look-out for new members to
join and swell our ranks to ever increasing numbers.

For a monthly cost of £10, your membership will entitle you to:

 Club Membership – includes invitation to a subsidised Membership evening at the
clubhouse where a meal and drinks will be provided during the evening. This event
takes place after the Annual General meeting in July, so look out for the date nearer
the time on the Club notice board, match programme and local press.

 Inclusion in monthly prize draws, with monetary prizes of £150, £100, £75, £50 and
£25. In the current lockdown draws have proved difficult but nobody will lose out as
we will endeavour to catch up with all we have missed as soon as it is possible.

 Exclusive draws for 2 x pairs of Six Nations International tickets for selected Home
games at the Principality Stadium for the Season, as well as priority status for club
ticket allocations.

 An Annual Free Gift

As we hopefully move closer to a time where once again we can throw open the doors to the club,
perhaps it could be time for you to open the door to new opportunities by joining the 150 club
