Welsh Rugby Union Update

As we have heard in earlier updates our mini and juniors are back in training but Friday saw the Welsh Government announce that training for over 18’s can return a week earlier than planned. Originally set for 3rd May non contact training for adults can now resume from 26th April due to the reduction in Covid cases.

Work is now going on behind the scenes to facilitate this and the relevant information will be provided by each team as and when it is available.

It is now the time to remind our supporters that the club will now continue to resurrect the second XV in earnest having commenced training last September before the second lockdown put an end to all rugby activities.

Players are always welcome to join where the emphasis will be on enjoyment and playing the sport we love.

Similarly our youth team will be looking to commence training shortly in line with the latest guidance which is highlighted on the graphic below.

All information can be found on the Welsh Rugby Union’s website including the Pathway to Participation which highlights the possible dates for the return of games, should Covid numbers allow.

If you are interested in playing for our Second XV or our Youth XV then get in touch via cqrfcsocialmedia@gmail.com and we will point you in the right direction.

Work in relation to the First XV Squad is ongoing and we will bring you more news on this when we have it direct from the Team Manager.

With teams now from Under 7’s to youth and two Senior Teams we really are striving to continue to be the Mighty Quins.
