Try-scoring winger Steff Evans joins Quins

 

30-year-old former Scarlets and Wales winger Steff Evans has linked up with Carmarthen Quins for the 2025-26 season.

Known for his try-scoring ability Evans joins Carmarthen Quins for the second season in Super Rygbi Cymru, bringing a wealth of experience from the regional stage to help develop the next generation of Quins talent.

In January 2023 Evans become the top Welsh try-scorer in the history of the United Rugby Championship, with his first-half try against the Dragons on New Year’s Day 2023 his 50th in the competition.

He is now the second highest Welsh try-scorer in United Rugby Championship (URC), just nestled behind former team-mate Gareth Davies.

The winger was also the joint leading try-scorer in European rugby in 2022-23.

He made 190 appearances for the Scarlets, scoring 74 tries. He played a pivotal role in the region’s 2017 Pro12 title success, scoring a memorable try in the final victory against Munster in Dublin.

He made his Wales debut on the 2017 summer tour against Tonga and has played 13 times for his country.
