Super Rygbi Cymru action returns to Carmarthen Park tomorrow, Saturday 28th December 2024, as we welcome Llandovery for the second leg of the back-to-back festive derbies.
It was Llandovery who took the spoils in the first of the two festive derbies, notching up a 35-5 home victory at Church Bank last week.
Their bonus point victory sees them sat towards the top of the Super Rygbi Cymru table, in third place with 40 points while the defeat away from home sees us sat in eighth position with 23 points.
With only six rounds of the regular season remaining, every single point counts in the run-in to the play-offs at the end of April / early May.
Scrum half Rhodri Davies returns to captain the side for Saturday’s clash and is one of two changes to the backline from the one that stepped on to Church Bank last weekend. Scarlets’ Charlie Titcombe replaces Aled Thomas at outside half.
The pack welcomes a new combination in the front row, with Scarlets Academy’s Sam O’Connor and Isaac Young replacing Rhys Fawcett and Sion Jones at loosehead prop and hooker respectively, and Ifan James starting at tighthead.
