Carmarthen Quins’ Super Rygbi Cymru round 7 fixture against Aberavon is sandwiched right in the middle of two angry weather fronts, bringing us Storm Austen and Storm Boelo this weekend.
Both teams, positioned at the lower end of the SRC table, will be hoping that first storms of the 2026 winter won’t hinder performance at the Talbot Athletic Ground.
Following the postponement of last weekend’s game against RGC, Carmarthen Quins is sat in tenth position in the table with five points. Aberavon sit just three points ahead in ninth position.
Shaun Evans will lead a Quins side on Saturday, October 24, with just one change to the pack that faced Cardiff a fortnight ago.
Experienced Back-rower Lewys Millin returns to sure up the pack at number 8. Lock Lee Taylor, who recently made his 250th Quins appearance is joined in the second row by 20-year-old Scarlets prospect Gabe Cahsay.
The young half back pairing of scrum half Alfie Luger and outside Madoc Evans reunite in the starting XV. Ashton Owen and Jayden Brown start in the centre with Eilir George and Ifan Davies on the wings. Scarlets’ Iori Badham is named at fullback.
