Following a relaxing summer break the new season is upon us. We have completed our pre- season with a win against Tata Steel RFC, a draw against Mosely RFC and a lot of hard training sessions over the last few weeks.
Our season begins on Saturday 1st September welcoming Newport RFC to Carmarthen Park for the start of what is going to be a long season. The change of format, having 15 games at home and away will culminate in the bottom 4 teams being relegated from the Principality Premiership for Season 19/20. Also the start of the season we will be missing a number of players which will be representing the Scarlets U23 team in their new competition. With these players away it gives another group of players a chance to stake their claim for the shirt during this long season..
I hope you can all join us in the Park on Saturday for our first home game to get behind the squad in the first game of a long and challenging season.
