Carmarthen Quins coaching team announced

Lyndon Lewis will once again lead the on-field coaching team at Carmarthen Quins as we prepare for the 2025-26 Super Rygbi Cymru season.

Lyndon will head up an on-field coaching group, alongside longstanding Quins Director of Rugby Steff Thomas.

A strong trio of former Scarlets in Peter Edwards, Tom Phillips and Josh Helps will take care of the scrum, forwards and line-out respectively.

Tom, who was a leader both on and off the field last season, will continue to play alongside his coaching responsibilities, adding a wealth of experience to the pack on matchdays.

Josh joins the coaching set up and is looking forward to adding his regional rugby experience to the mix.

New in this season is Assistant Backs and Skills Coach Rhodri Jones.

Rhodri has gained a wealth of coaching experience in recent years coaching the likes of St Clears, and is also Scarlets Academy Skills Coach.

Carmarthen Quins Director of Rugby Steff Thomas said; “Our inaugural Super Rygbi Cymru season wasn’t an easy ride for us with a cohort of very young and inexperienced players making up the bulk of our squad.

“Making the play-offs was testament to their hard work and determination to keep going in the face of adversity.

“Just as we look to develop the next generation of future players here at the Quins, we are also keen to do the same in encouraging young coaches through the ranks.

“Tom is a great example of this, and we’re delighted to see him continue in his role as forwards coach. Helpsy was a key member of the scrum for us as a player, and we are excited to see him continue his development as a young coach.”
