As we get closer to the season it is a good opportunity to introduce you to our management team.
We work hard to get good people with the right values, skills and knowledge to make our club and
performance better, with that said I would like to introduce you to:
Craig Evans – Craig will lead this years coaching team, with responsibility for attack sitting in his
portfolio too. Craig has considerable playing experience at the Premiership level and has become a
very important part of the coaching group in the last few seasons. He is know in his fifth season of
coaching and is very forward thinking. Craig played for the 1st XV 165 times and amassed 776 points.
Gethin Robinson – Geth is another Quins former player who works for the Welsh Rugby Union as a
development officer. He will have responsibility for defence and scrum this year and will be hoping
to maintain the mean defence that we had in season 2019/2020. Gethin played for the firsts on 136 occasions and scored 25 points.
Josh Turnbull – Josh needs little introduction as a player, but has been coaching for a number of
years. He has successfully coached Scarlets age grade and Newcastle Emlyn RFC. A very
knowledgeable rugby man Josh has also helped as a coach educator and is currently studying for his
level 4 coaching award.
Rich Hardy – Rich has been with us now for a number of years and is so important in the group. A
very experienced rugby man who works for the Welsh Rugby Union and a go to in the group for any
rugby advice. Rich will lead on the physical conditioning of the players ensuring that the boys are
ready for action.
Dr Craig Dyson, Owain Binding and Olly Kitchen – Our medical team. We think they are the best in
the business, highly respected by all, who have made our environment a safe place to be. They have
player welfare at the forefront of all that they do and as practitioners give the players first class
medical care. Without these guys we would struggle!
Wyn Thomas – Wyn does it all. Recently retired he makes sure that we have everything we need,
where we need it and when we need it. Clean kit right the way through to balls and cones. Wyn is
very well respected in the group and always has the little touches for the players to help the perform
to the best.
I think we are really lucky as a club to have such good people in our management team and I know
from experience that they will work extremely hard for the club.
You have now met the Captain and the important team behind the team. We will bring you in due course the squad that will wear the Cardinal, Amber and Black of the Mighty Quins in the 2021/2022 season.
We all look forward to seeing you in Llandovery on Saturday when our preparations continue towards the start of the Indigo Premiership Cup which commences on 18th September.
Best Regards
Steff Thomas
