AGE & REPRESENTATIVE HONOURS
QUINS 1st XV PLAYERS WITH OVER 100 APPEARANCES

JAMES THOMAS

100 + APPEARANCES

James made 126 appearances for the Quins 1st XV in the six seasons he played for the Quins. James (above) being presented with his 100 + Appearances Tie by Brian Jones, Club Committee, in a function at the club on the 12th May 2018.

PLAYING RECORD

  • James made his first appearance in the front row for the Quins 1st XV against Glamorgan Wanderers on the 7th September 1998. Known to his mates and Quins supporters as “Tew.”

  • Of his 126 appearances, 99 were League matches; 20 Cup & 7 friendlies.

  • One of his claims to fame is that he scored two tries in a game against Glynneath which, for a front row forward, takes some doing. Perhaps Max Boyce should put this into a song!

  • He scored a total of 9 tries.

  • He played his last game for the 1st XV away at Llandovery on the 11th May 2002.
