1st XV on the Road to Church Bank

After a week off the 1st XV hit the road to Llandovery in what will again be a keenly contested game. Llandovery will be eager to maintain their form that minus one blip at home to Bridgend seems them one point behind leaders Aberavon. The Quins will be firing on all cylinders and hoping to record an away victory and avenge the home defeat earlier this year.

We caught up with Team Manager Steff Thomas who surmised the situation “We are getting nearer to the performances that we know we are capable of. We are on course to qualify for the next stage of the competition and have used the majority of our squad and have given invaluable experience to some young exciting talent, Eddie James, Caleb Salmon, Josh Davies and Lewis Morgan. Our aim is to finish the cup fixtures strongly and keep improving on our performance and style of play. As always we are excited by the challenge of playing the Drovers this week and look forward to Saturday”

In an added bonus to the senior fixture on Saturday, both club’s under 12’s teams will go head to head in a rearranged Carmarthenshire Cup match that kicks off at 11.30am. This like the senior fixture will be a tight affair as they always have been in the past where generally Llandovery have come out on top. We know that the young Quins side would welcome any additional support the travelling Quins faithful could provide.
