Team named to take on Bridgend

Carmarthen Quins welcome Bridgend to Carmarthen Park on Saturday 31st January in the rearranged Round 10 Super Rygbi Cymru fixture.

Quins’ last league outing was away to Newport, a result that ended in defeat.

Currently sat in sixth position in the league table, Quins have won eight of the 13 games played so far.

Bridgend, with two games in hand on the pack leaders, are currently at the bottom of the table.

There are three personnel changes to the side that took to the field against Newport last Saturday in the opening round of the SRC Cup.

Fullback Steff Evans and hooker Lewis Morgan both sustained injuries in the Cup opener, ruling them out of Saturday’s league clash. Replacement hooker Lewis Jones also sustained an injury last weekend.

Captain Shaun Evans moves to hooker position this weekend alongside props Sam O’Connor and Ifan James.

Tom Phillips returns to the second row alongside Lee Taylor forcing a reshuffle in the back row.

Iestyn Wood moves from lock to blindside flanker, Iestyn Richards moves across the back row to number 8 with Lewys Millin moving to the openside.
