TEAM TO TRAVEL TO MERTHYR

Your Carmarthen Quins side to face Merthyr at the Wern;

There is plenty of experience within the match day 23 this week as we look to cement our place in the Semi Final of the WRU Premiership Cup.

Dale Ford returns to a Quins Jersey as he starts on the right wing. Wilson starts at fullback with Nott on the left tip. Randell and Gwilliam partner up in the centres. Centurion Josh Batcup pulls the strings from outside half with Davies in at 9.

Captain Phillips, Curry and Millin make up a powerful back row. Josh Helps keeps his 5 jersey with club stalwart Lee Taylor earning a starting spot next to him. Scarlets product Morgan starts at hooker with James Newnian and Ifan James either side.

We hope to see you at the Wern!

MERTHYR TAKE THE SPOILS AT Y PARC

It was a much improved performance by the Quins.

After leading for 77 minutes of the game, it was heartbreak when Merthyr’s Full Back Ben Jones dotted down in the corner with 3 minutes left to play.

Jac Wilson’s boot was on fire as he scored all 18 points from the tee. Credit to Merthyr as they kept the ball tight and used their size and power. 2 driving mauls tries.

Carmarthen Quins 18 – 22 Merthyr

We now look forward to Pontypridd on Thursday night.
