With Deepest Sympathy…

We would like to pass on our deepest condolences to Sian, Tom, Scott and Jack from everyone here at Carmarthen Quins.

Anthony was a well respected member of the community and his compassionate & caring nature is evident by the responsible positions he undertook in his career – Head of Service, Learning Disability & Mental Health, Corporate Safeguarding Manager, both at Carmarthenshire County Council, before he was appointed as Head of Children’s Services at Pembrokeshire County Council.

In his playing days, Anthony always made his presence known on the field as a formidable flanker. He went on to coach youngsters in the district for a number of years and his energetic and enthusiastic style was most popular with the children & parents alike.

Being a great supporter of grass roots sport, he took great pleasure in supporting both Jack and Scott in their rugby careers as he had done with Tom during his cricketing years. We were privileged to have the boys play for us and they made an immediate impression, which was testament to their father’s coaching and support.

A sad loss for his family, friends and to rugby.
