Carmarthen RFC would like to make the following announcement regarding the coaching staff:
Prior to the commencement of the 16/17 season it was decided not to renew Paul Fisher's contract. The Club would like to take this opportunity to thank Paul for his hard work with the team over the last 6 seasons and to wish him well for the future.
As a result of this decision, expressions of interest were sought for the vacant position. There were four people who put themselves forward for the vacancy.
Interviews were held at the Pavilion, Abergwili on the evening of 6th June. Interviews were conducted by the rugby management and coaching staff and members of the rugby committee were there as observers. Following the interviews a discussion was held by those present and all four candidates were praised for their efforts.
It was decided that the position be offered to two of the applicants for the post of Assistant Backs Coaches.
Carmarthen RFC would like to take this opportunity to congratulate both Thomas Marks and Aled Thomas on their successful selection and welcome them both to the Club.
