Principality Premiership Awards 2012-13

Millenium Stadium - Tuesday 28th May 2013

Representatives from Carmarthen Quins RFC attended the above function which saw three 1st XV players receive well deserved recognition.

Jason Harries was presented with the award as the highest try scorer in the league having scored 11 tries. His achievement is all the more impressive taking into account the time he was unavailable due to Wales 7's duties.

Both the club captain Ian Jones and fellow prop Rob Evans were named in a Principality 'Dream Team' for 2012/13. To have both props named is an outstanding acievement and is a fitting tribute to their performances throughout the season.

Congratulations is extended to all three players.

Whilst not part of the award we should also pay due regard to James Davies and Lee Williams for representing Wales in the IRB World 7's tournament, plus Sion Bennett, Carwyn Jones and Gareth Thomas who not only represented Wales in the 6 Nations Under 20 tournament, but who are also part of the same Welsh squad for the impending IRB Junior World Cup.
