1st XV players moving to pastures new

By r | 15/05/2013

No sooner has the 2012/13 season ended for the Quins the search for new squad members has began.

Steff Thomas is working extremely hard to ensure the Quins has a strong squad ahead of the start of the new season. Some players will move on and new signings will be made.

For the moment we need to wish a fond farewell to two regular first team players:

Centre Rheon James has accepted a full time contract with our opponents in the British and Irish Cup, The Cornish Pirates. During his time with the Quins Rheon represented the club on 57 occasions scoring 8 tries in the process. Rheon is a young man and we wish him well in his future career.

Hooker Richard Wilkes is leaving to join our Premiership opponents Bedwas. Rich originates from that area and his partner is expecting their first child. He has been a hugely popular figure with the players and members alike. Since his first game in August 2009 he has represented the clubon 110 occasions scoring 6 tries.

Good luck from all your colleagues, members and supporters at the Quins club and we hope to see you again in the not to distant future.

Further squad news will be posted as and when announcements are made official.
