Winning Run Comes to an End

By Keith Bond | 07/11/2011

Carmarthen Quins 2nd.XV travelled to Llandovery for a much anticipated league game and returned well beaten by 21 points to nil.

The Quins tried hard to break down the outstanding Llandovery pack but were beaten by a better side. Carmarthen was starved of possession and could not get any pattern into their game. When the visitors did get the ball they looked dangerous but chances were few and far between. In fairness to Llandovery they wanted the victory more on the day and their coaches had obviously done their homework on the Quins.

This defeat will come as a wake-up call for Carmarthen for, although they have started the season well, they will need to put this poor performance behind them.

Next Saturday the Quins host Dunvant and will hope to return to their winning ways.
