2nd XV Back on Winning Trail

By Keith Bond | 14/11/2011

Carmarthen Quins played Dunvant in the Park and came away with a sound bonus point victory by 29 points to nil.

Dunvant brought a huge pack to the game but were simply outplayed by the smaller Quins eight. Up front captain, Ricky Davies, was immense once again with his power and pace too much for the visitors to handle. Liam Fitzpatrick put himself about everywhere and young prop, Scott Meakins, was a tower of strength.

The Quins back line was always looking to attack with centres, Dion Howells and Sam Davies, always prominent. Olly Thomas and Dan Bartley ran the show and John Gosling had his best game for the Club.

Carmarthen needed this victory after such a poor performance away at Llandovery last week. Hopefully it will give them a boost this coming Saturday when they are at home for a top of the table clash with Llangennech.

Try Scorers ~ Dion Howells (2), John Gosling & Dane Bush.

Kicks ~ Dan Bartley (9 points)

Special Thanks to match day sponsors ~ Simon Rogers & Mike Davies.
