The Quins had their fixture transferred to the Park and began 2012 in glorious style by beating Morriston convincingly by an unanswered 41 points. It was an outstanding performance with the backs and forwards combining throughout to score seven tries and in so doing thrill and entertain the crowd.
Up front the power, handling skills and pace of captain, Ricky Davies, made him the best player on the field and a joy to watch. He was ably backed by fellow forwards, Aled Evans and Matthew Morgan.
In the backs, also, there was too much pace and skill for their Swansea opponents. Martain Penhallurick and Dion Howells in particular were seen to cause all sorts of havoc. With a glut of possession from the pack, Olly Thomas and George Gleeson linked well giving young Rhys Chevoni a chance to counter attack. It was good, too, to see winger, Andy Jones, returning from injury.
This victory keeps the Quins in the mix for the title and hopefully will focus the mind for a tough away fixture against Narberth next Saturday.
